FOLLOW-UP FROM PLYMOUTH WOMEN RAP SESSIONS – LENT 2008
During Lent 2008, more than 100 Plymouth Women gathered during four “Rap” Sessions to brainstorm new ideas and opportunities for women at Plymouth. Ideas developed around women-focused service opportunities, new interest groups, one-time events, social opportunities outside church, traveling and mission trips, and care and support for one another. In addition, we discussed the historical context of Women’s Fellowship, identified obstacles limiting participation, and explored ways to alleviate the obstacles.
In the months following, the Board of Plymouth Women organized the data gathered, restructured board positions to accommodate these new ideas, and are now developing teams and inviting participants to begin planning these new ventures. To keep women informed, we will publish our progress in the Contact newsletter and send periodic communications from our email account (plymouthwomen@plymouthwomen.com). New events, groups, and women's opportunities will be posted on our web pages as they develop. Stay tuned!
