To connect with people by creating original, elegant, artistic pieces, merging traditional techniques with inventive designs which please the eye and enrich the spirit.
NOW SHOWING Pastels by Jake Jacobs
January 7 to February 17
Jake received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Iowa State University and a Masters of Fine Art (Illustration) from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. He has worked as a professional artist, illustrator, designer and educator for 25 years. Most recently, he has been teaching at Grandview University.
His primary medium is pastel, although he is proficient in nearly every medium, except oil. Jake works almost exclusively on commission and so rarely has work for sale. The work on display here is on loan from various private collections.

THE GALLERY COMMITTEE The mission of the Plymouth Gallery is to provide a venue for God's gift of creative visual expression, support and nurture artists and their vision, and serve as an artistic outreach to the community. The Gallery Committee plans exhibits and invites artists, local, statewide, and from within the congregation, to show in our beautiful space. CHANCEL ARTS COMMITTEE
- Designs and creates banners and other works on a grand scale to enhance the Sanctuary and highlight seasons of the church year
- Involves people of all ages and abilities in a fun, creative group
- Meets on an as needed basis on Tuesday evenings
