Music and Fine Arts Children's Choral Music Youth Choral Music Adult Choral Music Instrumental Music Visual Arts Concert Series	Visual Arts PLYMOUTH GALLERY Now Showing: Taming the Prairie by Lee Middleswart The goal of my art is to preserve segments of Iowa's old buildings and farm heritage so future generations can see the history we have witnessed. My art is produced from vintage lumber and rusted pieces retrieved from old buildings and salvage shops in Iowa. Each one-of-a-kind piece has been aged with layers of paint and incorporated into three-dimensional paintings. Found pieces are sometimes carved, wood-burned, sanded or stained to create design effects. "Taming the Prairie" assemblages depict an emotional portrayal of the pioneer spirit. THE GALLERY COMMITTEE The mission of the Plymouth Gallery is to provide a venue for God's gift of creative visual expression, support and nurture artists and their vision, and serve as an artistic outreach to the community. The Gallery Committee plans exhibits and invites artists, local, statewide, and from within the congregation, to show in our beautiful space. Exhibits are scheduled a year out , and each show is displayed for approximately six weeks.
