A Mid-Iowa Organizing Strategy (AMOS) believes in the inherent dignity of each person, and every person’s ability to take action. We seek to channel individual action into a responsible and powerfully organized force for the common good.
Through face-to-face, one-on-one meetings, AMOS members build relationships between members of our communities. In the process, we cut through divisions such as race, religion, and socioeconomic status, and discover the passions and concerns that unite us all.
AMOS pursues a multiple issue agenda, responding to the concerns and pressures felt by communities. These concerns and pressures are identified through hundreds of small group conversations, and then explored in depth by investigative issue teams who research the facts and develop solutions to concrete problems.
The Plymouth AMOS Core Team has been an integral part of AMOS in the community since its inception in 1996. Be a part of this effective organization. Join us first Sundays on Zoom at 12:30 pm. Contact Sheena Thomas or Emily Chafa to request the Zoom meeting link to join in the conversations.
