Lenten Retreat 2022

Self-care is an act of love, a way of entering into the invitation to love not only God and others, but also ourselves. It is a way of living as the Beloved and tenderly receiving the renewal needed in order to continue serving others and the world.

After a long and challenging season, including global, communal, and individual stress and heartache, we may find ourselves tired and weary in the midst of it all. Therefore, it is as important as ever to care for ourselves.

Take heart: self-care does not need to be heroic or demanding, but can be gently experienced through our simple, daily human needs and rhythms.

Join us as we begin the Lenten season by reflecting on three areas of everyday life—sleep, movement, and nourishment—that can be received as opportunities for restorative and compassionate self-care and renewing God’s love and life within.

Facilitator: Victoria Gloe. Victoria has worked in the health and wellness world for over 20 years. She holds an M.S. in Health Fitness Management and a certificate in Christian Spiritual Formation. She is a certified yoga instructor and completed spiritual direction training with PrairieFire.

Join us Friday, March 4, 6–8 p.m. and continuing on Saturday, March 5, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Click here to register. Registration will close end-of-day on March 2.
