Weddings at Plymouth Church are available to celebrants who have been a member of Plymouth Church for at least one year or are the children or grandchildren of a current member. If you meet these criteria and wish to have a Plymouth wedding, your first step is to contact our Executive Assistant, Daniel Schott, by phone at 515.255.3149. Dan can assist you by reviewing the availability of possible dates and answering any questions you may have regarding Plymouth’s Wedding Application, fees, or process.
Please be aware that a Plymouth pastor presides at all weddings in the church. We will try to accommodate requests for a family member, or a close friend, who is a minister to participate in the wedding service, when possible.
As a part of the preparatory process, a Plymouth pastor will lead couples through marriage preparation sessions. These sessions are designed so that the celebrants have an opportunity to consider the meaning of marriage, examine their personal expectations, ask questions, and share in wedding service planning.
