Join the Iowa-based office for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. in Common Grounds. They will be offering their evidence-based program “Talk Saves Lives”.

“Talk Saves Lives” provides an introduction to suicide prevention by covering the importance of mental health, recognizing warning signs, and learning about resources that can help save lives. This particular presentation will also include a special emphasis on meeting the specific needs and concerns of the LGBTQ+ community. Abinadi Rivera-Aguirre (they/them) will be the facilitator, and all are welcome to attend the presentation.
