Call for Submissions! Share your work in Plymouth Magazine

We would love for you to contribute to Plymouth Magazine's summer issue! This year, we're looking to compile a special literary issue on art and justice: two core Plymouth practices and values.

Deadline is Friday, May 22

About the 2026 Summer Issue: Beauty is not a luxury; it's our birthright. Art is not frivolous; it's arterial. Humanity was not meant to live off bread alone; we need roses, too. Art and justice are two deeply entangled ways that we engage the world here at Plymouth. Both sit at the core of our church community. We want to see how the artists in our midst are meeting this moment. How can the practice of creating new things open up our imaginations for new ways of moving through the world? What does it mean to create original work rather than consume content? How can the individual human point of view, in its specificity, point us to the larger beloved community of belonging that still needs to be imagined?

We're not sure, but we want to explore together. So please: send us your poetry, your creative non-fiction essays, your short fiction. Send us dramatic monologues, or excerpts from your screenplays or novels. Send us your paintings, your collages, your drawings, your sculptures. Send us your photography, your animation, your film excerpts, your sound studies, your audio-art. Send us quilts. Send us recipes. Send us garden plans. Send us napkin doodles. Send us selfies and meme collections. Send us comics, character art, choreography, fashion. If you've made it, it has a place in this issue.
