Feb. 26: Lunch and Learn
Join us each month for Lunch and Learn!
On Thursday Feb. 26 from 12 - 1 pm in the Greenwood Room, Plymouth's Radical Health and Hospitality Committee will welcome Christin Eaton and Linda Svitak to speak about their recent book "Kitchens of Hope: Immigrants Share Stories of Resilience and Recipes from Home."
The thirty-six immigrant participants' stories of resilience are most compelling. So, too, has been the authors' several-year process of comprehending the participants, and their recipes, some of which have been passed down for generations only by word of mouth.
The stories, and the related recipes, are organized not by food terms but by kitchens - kitchens of Community, Resilience, Opportunity, Justice, Hope and Celebration.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch. Additional time after the 1 p.m. normal closing time will be available for anyone interested in more extended Q& A.
