Coming up next: Join us on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 12-1 PM to hear from Maribel Slinde, a passionate advocate for senior health and caregivers, both paid and unpaid. She has worked her entire life in the caretaking field.

• Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Secondary Education; Master degree in Social Work.

• Worked in both public health and in-home/community-based services for almost 35 years.

• Began her career working as a Social Worker serving older adults and persons living with disabilities. Became a Director of Programs. Then spent the 20 years before she retired as the Executive Director of Generation Incorporated.

• Served on several boards at the state level including the Alzheimer’s Taskforce and Dependent Adult Abuse board.

• Served as the primary caregiver for her mother who lived independently until her death at the age of 100.
