March 8: AMOS Event
What’s getting in the way of safety and happiness for you and your loved ones?
Join us to learn who We the People can collectively and effectively make change in our community for ourselves and those we care about.
We will gather in small groups to share stories of our concerns as a family of faith, residents of Central Iowa, and citizens of the United States. AMOS leaders will facilitate these small groups as we listen to each other. These leaders will also share information on next steps that AMOS will use to choose the pathways to raise these important concerns to our elected officials and candidates for elected office.
We want to hear from you- the people- about what’s getting in the way of safety and happiness for you and people you care about. Safety can mean physical safety, but also healthy air and water. Happiness is not about getting lots of likes on social media, but creating communities where all can flourish and thrive. Your voice is important. Every personal story is important. Each person’s perspective and experiences enrich this process.
These small group conversations will be held on Sunday, March 8 from 12:30-2 PM in Waveland Hall. A light lunch will be served. All are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Please say yes to this invitation to be heard!
