OWL Facilitator Training
Save the date Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7 for Our Whole Lives (OWL) Facilitator Training!
This program helps children and youth understand and respect their bodies. It teaches responsibility for personal health and safety and provides positive, comprehensive, and accurate age-appropriate information. These classes include not only sexuality education, but also understanding gender differences and appropriate means of consent and refusal. OWL classes are offered at 4 strategic times in a child’s developmental life: K/1st, 4th/5th, 7th/8th, and 10th/11th grades.
It is important that these classes are taught by trained adults, age 21+. Plymouth is hosting a training for our members and other churches in the Midwest. We need those interested to take this training and be willing to teach a class on a rotating basis.
Prior to registering, you will need to decide if you wish to take the training for the younger age groups or the older students. Plymouth members will have all their fees covered, use code “PLYMOUTHOWL” when you register. If you have questions, please contact Barb Godwin.
