Plymouth Gallery Exhibit

Mariah Jade Exhibit in Plymouth Gallery

This exhibit from artist Mariah Jade focuses on painting with texture using acrylic, salt, sand, tissue paper, magazines, old books, and crochet materials. These textures help bring each piece to life and create layers that invite the viewer to experience more than just what they see.

Message from the artist:

Thank you for taking an interest in my work. I truly appreciate you taking the time to look and learn more about what I do.

The focus of my art is texture and the use of recycled materials. I primarily work with acrylic, but I often incorporate additional elements like salt, sand, tissue paper, magazines, old books, and crochet materials. These textures help bring each piece to life and create layers that invite the viewer to experience more than just what they see.  Texture is what inspires me most. I aim to create pieces that you don’t just look at but can almost feel with your eyes. By experimenting with different materials and techniques, I build surfaces rich with depth and detail.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of any piece in this exhibit will go to Exodus 5:1, a nonprofit whose mission is to free people from slavery in Pakistan. Exodus 5:1 not only purchases families out of slavery but also helps connect them to jobs, housing, education and church. Supporting this cause through my art allows me to connect creativity with compassion, and to contribute to bringing freedom and hope to others.
