April 26: Spring Planting Workshop
Trees are budding, daffodils are blooming, and planting season is almost here!
Join Plymouth’s Creation Care & Justice Committee for a garden workshop on Sunday, April 26, at 4 PM in Common Grounds with Cathy McMullen, ISU natural resources ecology and management instructor. Cathy will share tips on how to incorporate native flowering plants into your landscape – even those shady spots where grass won’t grow. She’ll offer garden plans, sources for plants, and highlight the many shade-tolerant varieties that support pollinators and help our planet to thrive.
Please note that Plymouth will not have an heirloom plant sale this spring because our generous Plymouth farmers at Coyote Run Farm, who have supplied plants for several years, are dialing back on their farm operations. This workshop is an opportunity to explore other sources for native and pollinator plants and planting ideas.
