Feb. 22: A Service in Solidarity with Refugees and Immigrants

A Service in Solidarity with Refugees and Immigrants
When: Sunday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.
Where: First United Methodist Church (Downtown)

Christians and people of faith will have an ecumenical worship service in solidarity with refugees and immigrants. On the First Sunday of Lent, we will gather to share our lament for actions done in our name; confess our own complicity; and find hope in the stories of resistance and actions embodying the love of God. Representatives of faith communities will gather to pray and sing together as we find ourselves in the American wilderness of persecution of people of color.
